These Subscription Terms provide key aspects related to your Subscription and are incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the same meaning as defined in the Terms of Service.
PLEASE NOTE
The price of our Services in the introductory offers displayed to you is valid only for the first period of your Subscription.
After the first period, your Subscription will be renewed automatically, and you will be charged the then-current price valid at the time of your renewal. Renewal prices may be higher than the introductory price and are subject to change.
For any plans which are longer than one (1) month, we will send you a notification thirty (30) days prior to the charge.
We will charge you for the upcoming Subscription period in advance, as described below.
To avoid being charged for a new Subscription period, please cancel auto-renewal before the billing date.
SUBSCRIPTION PERIOD AND PRICES
Subscription. All our paid services are provided on a Subscription basis. This means that the provision of the Services will auto-renew at the end of the current Subscription period, unless you cancel the automatic renewal before the billing date.
Subscription Period. You select the duration of the Services from the available options at the time of purchase. The Subscription period will be also stated in your purchase confirmation, such as the receipt you receive upon subscribing to our Services.
Prices. The price of our Services in the introductory offers displayed to you is valid only for the first period of your Subscription. The Subscription automatic renewal prices displayed at our Websites at the time of your first purchase are subject to change. If the renewal price has changed, you will be charged then-current (changed) price valid at the billing date.
AUTOMATIC RENEWAL OF THE SUBSCRIPTION
Auto-renewal. After the end of your current Subscription period, your Subscription will be automatically renewed for an additional term:
1-year and longer Subscriptions - for the 1-year Subscription period annually.
Shorter than 1-year Subscriptions - for the same respective Subscription period each time.
You can always check the automatic renewal status (whether automatic renewal is on or off) by signing in to your Nord Account.
Recurring Payments. When you purchase the Services on a Subscription basis (e.g., monthly, annually, or otherwise), you agree that (i) Subscription will auto-renew until you cancel the auto-renewal, (ii) you are authorizing recurring payments, (iii) payments will be made to us by the method and at the recurring intervals you have agreed to, and, (iv) when applicable, we may receive and use updated card account information from the financial institution that has issued your card (used to purchase the Subscription).
Zero Authorization. By using our Services on a Subscription basis, you authorize us to initiate an authorization transaction equal to zero (or a nominal amount not exceeding 1 USD that is instantaneously reverted). Such zero authorization is initiated on your provided payment method up to forty (40) days prior to the scheduled auto-renewal date. It helps ensure that your payment method is still valid and, respectively, leads to a seamless continuation of your Subscription. Zero authorization does not represent an actual charge of your account and will not be initiated if you choose to cancel the automatic renewal of your Subscription before the date of the zero authorization.
Billing Date. We will charge you for the upcoming Subscription period in advance, i.e., before the beginning of the upcoming Subscription period, unless you cancel the automatic renewal before the billing date (as described below). The charge in accordance with your chosen payment method will be made annually or monthly depending on your Subscription plan:
For monthly plans: The billing date will be the same as the date you subscribed in. For example, if you subscribed on December 18th, you will be charged on the 18th of each subsequent month.
For any plans which are longer than one (1) month: The billing date will be fourteen (14) days prior to the scheduled auto-renewal date (i.e., date on which the current Subscription period ends). For example, if your Subscription is set to renew on December 31st, you will be charged on or around December 17th.
Sometimes, we are unable to charge the user by the billing date because the transaction fails on the user's side (e.g., expired card, insufficient funds balance, etc.). Please note that we reserve the right to initiate automatic renewal payment retries for any failed transactions within fourteen (14) days after the scheduled auto-renewal date. By using the Services, you acknowledge and accept our authority to perform such payment retries in an effort to process the necessary charges and ensure the provision of Services.
Receipts and Invoices. We will send you a receipt along with the purchase confirmation after you pay for the first Subscription period via email. Afterwards, you can view your billing history and manually generate the receipts and invoices for our Services at any time in your Nord Account (log in to your Nord Account, open the “Billing” section and under “Billing history” tab generate the receipt/invoice by clicking “Get invoice”). Should you need to store the mentioned documents on your side, please download them to your device.
AUTOMATIC RENEWAL CANCELLATION
Automatic Renewal Cancellation. You can cancel the automatic renewal of your Subscription at any time from your Nord Account if you purchased the Services directly from us. To do so, log in to your Nord Account, open the “Billing” section and in the “Subscriptions” tab, next to the “Auto-renewal” section, click “Cancel” and confirm the cancellation by choosing “Cancel auto-renewal”. Please cancel the automatic renewal of your Subscription before the billing date to avoid an automatic charge. Deleting your Account does not cancel the automatic renewal of your Subscription, nor does it initiate an automatic refund.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING AUTOMATIC RENEWAL CANCELLATION:
Once you cancel auto-renewal of your Subscription, you will not be charged automatically on any subsequent billing date. All Services under the Subscription will remain active until the end of the current Subscription period.
If your Subscription includes bundled services with other Nord or third-party products, auto-renewal cancellation will also apply to those bundled services.
Please be aware that canceling auto-renewal does not trigger an automatic refund, even if cancellation occurs within thirty (30) days following your purchase.
Canceling auto-renewal does not result in the deletion of your Account from our Services. For information on deleting your Account, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
If the Services were purchased through an Authorized Reseller, the ability to cancel the automatic renewal of the Subscription is subject to the terms and conditions of that Authorized Reseller.
SUBSCRIPTION CONTRACT TERMINATION AND REFUND
Subscription Contract Termination and Refund. We seek your full satisfaction with our Services. However, if you are not satisfied with our Services, you may terminate your Subscription contract and request a refund within thirty (30) days following your purchase of our Services.
If you purchased the Services from an Authorized Reseller, granting of refunds is subject to its terms.
The credit scores provided are based on the VantageScore 3.0® credit score by TransUnion® model. Lenders use a variety of credit scores and may utilize a different scoring model from VantageScore 3.0® credit score to assess your creditworthiness.
You have numerous rights under the FCRA, including the right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report(s). Consumer reporting agencies are required to investigate and respond to your dispute but are not obligated to change or remove accurate information that is reported in compliance with applicable law. While this plan can provide you assistance in filing a dispute, the FCRA allows you to file a dispute for free with a consumer reporting agency without the assistance of a third party.
No single product can fully prevent identity theft or monitor every single transaction.
Some features may require authentication and a valid Social Security Number to activate. To access credit reports, scores, and/or credit monitoring services (“Credit Monitoring Services”), you must successfully pass your identity authentication with TransUnion®, and your VantageScore 3.0® credit score file must contain sufficient credit history information. If either of these requirements is not met, you will not be able to access our Credit Monitoring Services. It may take a few days for credit monitoring to start after a successful enrollment.
NordProtect’s dark web monitoring service scans various sources where users’ compromised personal information is suspected of being published or leaked, with new sources added frequently. However, there is no guarantee that NordProtect will locate and monitor every possible site or directory where consumers' compromised personal information is leaked or published. Accordingly, we may not be able to notify you of all your personal information that may have been compromised.
Identity protection benefits are currently available to all customers residing in the United States, including U.S. territories and the District of Columbia, with the exception of residents of New York and Washington. NordProtect is not a licensed insurance producer. Benefits under the Group Policy are issued and covered by HSB Specialty Insurance Company. You can find further details and exclusions in the Summary of Benefits.
Our identity theft restoration service is part of a comprehensive identity theft recovery package that offers a reimbursement of up to $1 million for identity recovery expenses. To access the support of an identity restoration case manager, you must file a claim with HSB, which NordProtect has partnered with to provide the coverage. HSB is a global specialty insurance company and one of the largest cyber insurance writers in the U.S.
